David Hodges, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS
David grew up in Dallas, Texas and knew that he wanted to be a Physical Therapist from the time he was 16 years old when a close friend injured his knee playing football. David noticed the impact rehabilitation could have on a person’s total well being and wanted to participate in that process first-hand. After researching the education needed to become a Physical Therapist, he decided to pursue his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Chapman University (despite never having actually been to California, nor even graduating from high school yet) based solely on its proximity to the beach and Disneyland.
In the meantime, David attended Arizona State University to pursue his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Business before fulfilling his dream of attending Chapman University’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program. During his time at Chapman, David was given the opportunity to complete an intensive orthopedic rotation at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, MS treating active duty military and Special Forces members.
David values a functional, total body perspective emphasizing injury prevention, optimal movement patterns and peak performance through individualized strength and flexibility programs. He emphasizes communication and patient education to promote complete health and wellness, and to maximize recovery outcomes.
