Samantha StokesPT, DPT
Samantha (Sam) Stokes is originally from the Inland Empire. She received her Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Neuroscience at the University of California, San Diego. She pursued an internship at Palomar Health in San Diego where she worked alongside nurses and physical therapists to provide patient-centered care. This initial exposure to physical therapy (PT) is what sparked her interest and led her to gain additional internship experience in solely the PT department. Although new to her, her family and friends were not surprised Sam developed a passion to PT so quickly.
At a young age Sam’s curiosity and competitive spirit, led her to trial multiple sports throughout her childhood. Sam gravitated towards waterpolo, which she claims to have been her most favorite sport. However, as an athletic scholar, she also juggled being on the softball and volleyball teams as well. These personal and professional experiences motivated Sam to gain her DPT at Azusa Pacific University. She fell in love with the complexities and details of human movement, especially in relation to athletic performance. Sam is excited to dedicate her practice in enhancing her skills and knowledge to better serve her patients.
