“I can now practice fully with no restrictions. This past season, I got some of the highest scores I’ve ever received!"
– Naomi Kim
Naomi was at gymnastics practice and her knee started to hurt. Each practice it would start to hurt more and more until she couldn’t practice anymore. Her dad took her to see Dr. Kelly Davis, who is a pediatric sports medicine specialist. She referred Naomi to CBPT. Initially, Naomi was a little nervous, but excited to see what physical therapy would be like.
Naomi says, “My knee felt better every time I went; the hands-on manual therapy and exercises helped so much! Greg was able to see the problem right away. He treated my knee each time and gave specific exercises to help my problem that was causing the pain. Greg is really nice, too! I had a lot of fun jumping on and off things, balancing in weird positions, and working on my agility.”
Naomi is now able to do all her gymnastics skills pain free! She says, “My knee doesn’t hurt at all. I was restricted from doing a lot of the skills because of the pain, which made me fall behind. I can now practice fully with no restrictions. This past season, I got some of the highest scores I’ve ever received!”
Naomi is now able to do more things, not just in the gym, but even the simple things, like jumping, running, or squatting. She says, “If I hadn’t gone to CBPT, my knee would've probably hurt for a really long time. Thanks for getting me back on track!”
